The route
Follow the Taff Trail north from Bute Park through Llandaff and Radyr to Tongwynlais and the castle. Flat and surfaced throughout.
Worth knowing
- Fully accessible and one of the best long level walks in Wales.
- Llandaff cathedral is a short detour and worth it for the Epstein Christ in Majesty.
- The trail continues fifty-five miles to Brecon.

Background
The Taff Trail follows the Glamorganshire Canal and the Merthyr tramroad, the routes that carried iron and coal down to the docks.
