The route
An easy riverside path follows the Nedd Fechan upstream to the falls. Continue further for Sgwd Ddwli if you want more. return by the outward path.
Worth knowing
- Much easier than the Four Waterfalls walk and just as pretty for the first fall.
- You can walk behind Sgwd Gwladus when the water is low enough.
- The path continues upstream to more falls; each extra half hour buys another one.

The falls in their amphitheatre, gorge woodland, and the river running over ledges.
Background
Gwladus is said to have been a daughter of Brychan Brycheiniog, the fifth-century king who gave his name to Brycheiniog.
