The route
Climb from the car park through the woodland on the made path and steps to the viewpoint, continue to the upper falls if you wish, and return by the loop path.
Worth knowing
- Best after rain, like every waterfall in Wales.
- The oak woodland here is remnant Atlantic oak, one of the habitats the RSPB manages around the reservoir.
- Steps can be slippery under wet leaves.
What you’ll see
The falls, sessile oak woodland, dippers and grey wagtails on the river.
