The route
Climb from the house onto Mynydd Rhiw and along the ridge, returning by lanes. Short but with a steady climb.
Worth knowing
- The axe factory on the summit quarried a hard stone that was traded across Britain in the Neolithic.
- The house was rescued by the three Keating sisters in 1938 and given to the National Trust.
- The view over Porth Neigwl from the ridge is the best there is.
