The route
Follow the towpath north from the basin as far as time allows. Flat and surfaced throughout.
Worth knowing
- Pontymoile is the junction of the two canals and the toll house still stands.
- The towpath north is fully accessible for several miles.
- Pontypool Park and its folly are a short walk away.
