The route
From the point, walk the shore path west along the coast and back. Short and level with a rocky shoreline.
Worth knowing
- The lighthouse bell rings automatically in fog and is audible a long way.
- Puffin Island has no access but holds cormorants, guillemots and a few puffins.
- The toll road to the point takes cash only.

Background
Trwyn Du lighthouse was built in 1838 after a paddle steamer was wrecked on the rocks with heavy loss of life.
