The route
Paths climb from the town onto the hill past the quarry to the stone circle, returning by a loop. Steady climbing.
Worth knowing
- Graiglwyd stone axes have been found from Cornwall to Scotland; this was an industrial site five thousand years ago.
- The Druids’ Circle is Bronze Age and has nothing to do with druids.
- The quarry is still working and access is restricted in places.
