The route
The coast path runs north-west from Newgale over the cliffs to Solva. Steep ups and downs the whole way.
Worth knowing
- The bus makes this a straightforward one-way walk in season.
- The total ascent is far more than the distance suggests; this coast climbs constantly.
- Newgale’s storm beach was thrown up in the great storm of 1859.
