The route
From the beach, follow the coast path round Oxwich Point through the woods, returning inland past the church and the reserve. Undulating but easy going.
Worth knowing
- St Illtyd’s church sits in the trees just above the shore and is easily missed.
- The reserve behind the beach holds orchids in early summer, including several rarities.
- Oxwich Bay is shallow and safe for swimming, which makes it busy in August.
