The route
Follow the estuary path from the Parrog to the beach and back by the lanes, or cross the footbridge at low tide. Flat throughout.
Worth knowing
- The estuary can be crossed on foot at low tide but check carefully; the channel shifts.
- Limekilns line the old quay, where ships beached to unload limestone.
- Carningli above the town is a short climb for a big view.
