The route
You climb out past the church onto the moorland edge and return by lanes. Steady climbing with open ground above.
Worth knowing
- The churchyard yew has stone steps cut into it forming a pulpit, from which John Wesley is said to have preached.
- The moors above are open and exposed with no shelter.
- Very quiet; you will meet nobody.
