The route
The waymarked summit trail climbs from the centre through forest onto the open tops and returns by the mine track. Steady climbing throughout.
Worth knowing
- Far quieter than the lakeside trails, and the view from the top is the reason to come.
- Old lead workings on the hillside; keep to the path.
- Shared with bikes on some sections.
