The route
Climb directly from the pass up the grassy western flank to the ridge, follow it to the summit, and return the same way. Short and steep with no navigation difficulty in clear weather.
Worth knowing
- One of the best value summits in the national park: an hour up, and a 360 degree view.
- The grass is slippery when wet and there is no path to speak of in places.
- Llangorse Lake laid out below is the highlight of the view.

Background
Mynydd Troed is separated from the main massif by the Rhiangoll valley, which is why it stands alone and gives such a complete view.
