The route
Climb Foel y Mwnt from the car park for the view, then follow the coast path in either direction along the cliffs before returning.
Worth knowing
- The church is medieval, tiny and usually open. It was a chapel of ease on the pilgrim route to Bardsey.
- Dolphins are seen from the top of the Foel more often than not in settled weather.
- The beach is a steep flight of steps below the car park.

Background
Eglwys y Grog dates from around 1400. Tradition holds that a battle against Flemish invaders was fought here in 1155 and the anniversary was marked for centuries.
