The route
A track leads from the car park across the flat ground to the lake. Level and short, with the option of continuing towards the Rhyd Ddu path.
Worth knowing
- The reflection of Yr Wyddfa in the lake is the classic photograph and needs an early still morning.
- Flat and easy, which is unusual this close to the mountain.
- The Welsh Highland Railway stops at Rhyd Ddu, so no car needed.
