The route
Walk the beach and coast path west from Nefyn to Porthdinllaen and return inland across the golf links and fields.
Worth knowing
- The Ty Coch on the beach at Porthdinllaen has no road to it and limited opening; check first.
- The route crosses a golf course; keep to the marked path and watch for play.
- Nefyn’s maritime museum in the old church covers the herring trade.

Background
Nefyn was a herring port and one of the three royal boroughs of Gwynedd, granted its charter by the Black Prince in 1355.
