The route
Paths run along the southern and eastern shores from the car parks. Level and easy, with hides overlooking the water.
Worth knowing
- Winter brings wigeon, teal and goldeneye in numbers, and the occasional rarity.
- The lake is shallow and the margins are wet; keep to the paths.
- Very exposed with no shelter.
