The route
The coast path runs north from Llanrhystud past Morfa Bychan and Pen Dinas to Aberystwyth. Steep switchback throughout.
Worth knowing
- Longer and harder than the distance suggests; the climbs are constant.
- Castell Bach and Caer Penrhyn are Iron Age promontory forts on the way.
- The bus along the A487 makes the one-way version workable.
