The route
Follow the stream up through the nature reserve then climb onto the open hillside, returning by a different path. Steep in the middle section.
Worth knowing
- The reserve is oak woodland with a boulder-strewn stream running through it.
- Carneddau ponies graze the open ground above and are semi-wild.
- The path continues onto Drum and Foel Fras for a much longer mountain day.
