The route
Waymarked paths loop through the reserve to the hides and the estuary wall. Entirely level and surfaced, designed for wheelchairs throughout.
Worth knowing
- Paid entry, and one of the most genuinely accessible nature sites in Wales.
- Winter brings large numbers of wildfowl and waders off the estuary.
- Little egret are now common here; they were a rarity twenty years ago.

Background
The reserve was created in the 1990s on reclaimed industrial land, part of the Millennium Coastal Park that transformed the Llanelli waterfront.
