The route
Riverside paths follow the Teifi upstream and downstream from the town, with lanes and field paths making a loop. Some steep bank sections.
Worth knowing
- The rapids here are used for canoe slalom and there is often something to watch.
- Coracles are still licensed on the Teifi and the museum at Cenarth covers them.
- The riverbank is slippery and undercut in places; keep back from the edge.

Rapids and pools, wooded banks, dippers and grey wagtails, and the church above the town.
Background
Llandysul was a wool town and the river powered several mills. Coracle fishing has been practised on the Teifi since before the Romans.
