The route
A track runs along the shore from the visitor centre in both directions. Mostly level with some field sections.
Worth knowing
- Winter brings large numbers of wildfowl and the occasional rarity.
- The reservoir is used for watersports at the southern end and is quieter to the north.
- The Sor Brook arm is the best area for birds.
