The route
Most of the 350 metres of climbing is done in the first half. Paths climb up behind the village onto the open hills and loop back by farm tracks. Steady climbing with wide views.
Worth knowing
- Glyndŵr’s Way passes through and the waymarking makes navigation easier than it would otherwise be.
- Nonconformist chapels dominate the village; this was a stronghold of Welsh dissent.
- Very few walkers; expect to see nobody.
