The route
The walk climbs from the town past the castle and the boathouse, then along the cliff and estuary path with lines from Poem in October marked along the way.
Worth knowing
- The boathouse and the writing shed are open to visitors and the view from the shed is the one he had.
- Laugharne is generally taken as a model for Llareggub in Under Milk Wood, along with New Quay.
- Estuary mud and tides; keep to the marked path.

Background
Thomas lived at the boathouse from 1949 until his death in 1953 and is buried in the churchyard under a plain white cross.
