The route
Climb from the park onto the ridge and follow it before dropping back through the forestry. Steady climbing with open ground above.
Worth knowing
- Mynydd y Castell above the park is an Iron Age fort with clear ramparts.
- The Coed Morgannwg Way crosses this ground for a much longer route.
- The steelworks below is part of the view and worth looking at rather than past.
