The route
The Way climbs out of Machynlleth onto open hill and forest, crossing to Llanbrynmair. Long with sustained climbing.
Worth knowing
- The Parliament House on Maengwyn Street marks where Glyndŵr was crowned in 1404.
- Both ends are on the Cambrian line, though Llanbrynmair’s station closed long ago.
- Long stage with sustained climbing; allow a full day.
