The route
The Way crosses Moel Dod, Yr Allt and Ysgŵd-ffordd between the two villages before dropping into a wooded valley. Waymarked but remote.
Worth knowing
- This is among the emptiest stages on any British national trail.
- No facilities between the villages; carry everything.
- The repeated climbs add up more than the total ascent suggests.
