The route
Waymarked trails circle the park, taking in the river Clywedog, the motte and the formal gardens. Mostly level with some made paths.
Worth knowing
- The house is a National Trust property with an entry charge; the country park is free.
- The Clywedog Trail continues from here through Bersham and the old ironworks.
- The cup and saucer waterfall on the estate is a hydraulic curiosity worth finding.
