The route
A path climbs from the car park through the woods to Rhaeadr Ddu and on to the Cefn Coch workings, returning by the estate tracks.
Worth knowing
- The rocks beside the falls carry a Latin inscription cut for the estate’s eighteenth-century owner.
- The gold mine above is unsafe to enter but the surface ruins are extensive.
- Wet and slippery; this is a boots walk.
