The route
Cross the bridge, join the towpath at Llangattock and follow it before dropping back to the river and the town. Flat throughout.
Worth knowing
- Crickhowell bridge has thirteen arches on one side and twelve on the other, which is exactly the kind of thing people argue about.
- The canal towpath here is level and easy, and the limekilns at Llangattock wharf are worth a look.
- Good short walk when the hills are in cloud.
