The route
A boardwalk runs out into the fen from the road with a viewing platform. Flat and accessible, and short.

- The Anglesey Fens are internationally important and among the best alkaline fens in Britain.
- Orchids including marsh helleborine and fly orchid from June.
- The boardwalk is the only sensible way across; the fen itself is genuinely wet.

Background
The fens formed in hollows in the limestone after the last glaciation and have accumulated peat ever since.
