The route
A path climbs from the village into the forest and past the old quarries, returning by a different line. Steady and sometimes steep.
Worth knowing
- The Corris Railway runs a short heritage service from the village and has a museum.
- Slate tips and quarry levels are scattered through the forest; keep to the tracks.
- The forest is worked commercially so routes occasionally close for felling.
