The route
A waymarked trail climbs from the car park through the trees to the obelisk and returns by a loop. Short with one steady climb.
Worth knowing
- The obelisk was erected in 1830 to commemorate the enclosure of Clocaenog common.
- The viewpoint clears the trees and gives a wide view over the Vale of Clwyd.
- Sheltered and short, so a reasonable option in poor weather.
