The route
Waymarked trails loop from the car park through the forest. Good tracks with some rougher paths.
Worth knowing
- Ancient woodland survives in patches among the plantation and is being restored.
- Nightjars breed on the clearfell and can be heard on summer evenings.
- Quiet even at weekends; most people go to the Wye instead.
