The route
A path climbs through the park onto the Caerphilly ridge, returning along the ridgeway and down through the woods.
Worth knowing
- The rhododendrons and azaleas in the park are at their best in late May.
- The ridge path links east towards Caerphilly Common for a much longer walk.
- Easily reached by train, which is unusual for a hill walk.
