The route

One climb, and it comes at the start. Paths follow the Dee from the village and climb to Glyndŵr’s Mount before returning. Gentle with one climb.

Glyndŵr’s Mount is the motte of his manor at Glyndyfrdwy, from which he took his name.
The Llangollen Railway serves Carrog with steam trains in season.
The Dee here is a good salmon river.
