The route
A circular walk round the millpond links the castle and the mill, with field paths extending it. Flat and easy.
Worth knowing
- The tidal mill worked by trapping water on the ebb and releasing it through the wheel.
- The Carew Cross by the entrance is an eleventh-century Celtic cross, one of the finest in Wales.
- Otters use the millpond and herons fish it constantly.
