The route
Waymarked trails leave the forest car parks and loop through the woods and along the river. Steady climbing on good tracks.
Worth knowing
- Better known for mountain biking, but the walking trails are separate.
- The Cothi is a good salmon river and the valley is quiet.
- Forestry operations occasionally close routes; check the signs.

Background
Brechfa was planted from the 1920s over former sheepwalk and is one of the larger forest blocks in south-west Wales.
