The route
Trails climb the reclaimed tip from the car park to the summit viewpoint and loop back past the ponds.
Worth knowing
- Great crested newts breed in the ponds; the site is protected for them.
- The view from the top on a good day reaches a very long way east.
- Short and steady, and a good example of what reclamation can do.
