The route
The coast path follows the shore north-east from Beaumaris to Penmon, passing the priory. Back the same way or by the lane.
Worth knowing
- Beaumaris castle is the most technically perfect concentric castle in Britain, and was never finished.
- Penmon priory, its holy well and the sixteenth-century dovecote are all free to visit.
- Puffin Island offshore has no public access but seals and seabirds are visible from the point.
