The route
The Beacons Way climbs from the lake over Mynydd Llangorse and Pen Allt-mawr towards the eastern ridges. Long and exposed.
Worth knowing
- The Beacons Way runs 99 miles from Abergavenny to Llangadog across the whole park.
- This stage crosses open ridge with no shelter and no facilities.
- The lake at the start is worth an hour on its own.
