The route
Gentle enough throughout. Paths climb through the woodland from the garden and drop to Amroth beach, returning by the valley. Undulating but gentle.
Worth knowing
- Bluebells through the valley in late April are exceptional.
- Amroth is the eastern terminus of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
- A submerged forest appears on Amroth beach at very low tides.

Background
The valley was mined for coal and iron before the garden was planted in the nineteenth century over the old workings.
