The route
Follow the coast path north from Constitution Hill over Clarach, Wallog and the cliffs to Borth. Take the train back.
Worth knowing
- Both ends have stations on the Cambrian line, which makes this an ideal one-way walk.
- There is very little shelter and no facilities between Clarach and Borth.
- The climbs are short but repeated and there are a lot of them.
What you’ll see
Sarn Wallog running out to sea, cliff scenery, and Eryri visible north when the air is clear.
Background
The sarns off this coast are glacial moraines, and gave rise to the legend of Cantre’r Gwaelod, the drowned lowland.
