Worth knowing
- Llanerchaeron estate is further up the valley and makes a longer objective.
- The old railway to Lampeter ran up this valley and parts are traceable.
- Quiet farmland with plenty of stiles.
What you’ll see
The Aeron valley, hedged farmland, and views back over the harbour and bay.
Background
The Aberaeron to Lampeter railway opened in 1911 and closed to passengers in 1951, one of the shortest-lived lines in Wales.
